PEACEJAM BELGIUM CONFERENCE WITH JODY WILLIAMS AND SPECIAL TALK BY THE DALAI LAMA

What: PeaceJam Belgium Student Conference with Nobel Peace Prize winner Jody Williams and a Special Talk by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
PeaceJam will launch in Belgium with this inspiring two-day event with two Nobel Peace Laureates and engaged students from across the region. The keynote address on Saturday will be given by Jody Williams – who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997 for creating an international treaty to ban landmines and clearing landmine fields worldwide. On Sunday, young people will have the opportunity to hear a talk by The Dalai Lama – who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 for his efforts to resolve the Tibetan conflict peacefully and for being a global man of peace and advocate for the environment. Young people ages 14-18, as well as their teachers and adult advisers, have the opportunity to spend two days interacting with these amazing world leaders for peace and participating in workshops around current issues, service projects, and family groups led by university mentors!
