In the U.S. and possibly global climate where hostility toward Muslims and contagious backlash against Sikhs and others in religious attire is on the increase, we Seattle area women of faith sought compassionate responses to implement.

This is a message on a card one of the women in the circle sent to Seattle area mosques on a particularly meaningful day for Muslims this December. Others have visited mosques armed with notes of support and gifts.

In solidarity with Muslims around the world and to some extent, the generous givers who will show their support, we invite you to a concerted moment of solidarity on

February 5, 2016, Friday, at 1 PM PST

to send a prayer, an email, a note, or a gift to one or more mosques in your area. The moment of simultaneous show of support certainly would be indicative of our message of solidarity and perhaps can serve as a bond among all who send such message of fellowship around the globe.

Please let Guo Cheen (TheCompassionNetwork@gmail.com) know if any mosque or Muslim association you reach out to is open for several local women from different religious communities to be in dialogue with interested Muslim women. So that together, we learn to build bridges for times of needed solidarity among us.
