For the first time, the youth plaintiffs behind the landmark constitutional climate lawsuit, Juliana v. United States and Swedish climate activist, Greta Thunberg, will come together to address the Nation and the world’s leaders at a press conference in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.
When: Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 9:30 – 10:30 am EST
Where: United States Supreme Court, 1 First St NE, Washington, DC 20543 Press Conference will take place in front of the steps
Who: Seven of the Juliana plaintiffs, including Kelsey Juliana and Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, Greta Thunberg, and members of the U.S. Congress.
Earth Guardians is galvanizing our crews and tens of thousands of people around the world to take part in the historic Global Climate Strikes this September 20-27. In collaboration with Future Coalition, 350.org, Extinction Rebellion and our other partners, we are planning to bring our message to the world that it’s time for our leaders and policy makers to enact change, NOW.
For the past two decades, Earth Guardians has empowered youth leaders so that their voices can be heard. These youth leaders – GRETA THUNBERG AND XIUHTEZCATL MARTINEZ – have led school walkouts, organized climate strikes, and have sued the U.S. government to demand meaningful action on climate change.
Now, Earth Guardians crews and youth around the world are calling on people of all ages to join them the streets on September 20th.
